The Ewin Early Learning Centre (EELC) is a purpose built, community based Child Care Service in Kununurra in the fast growing and adventure filled East Kimberley region of WA.

We offer fantastic work conditions with all staff being paid ABOVE AWARD rates.

We are a busy 80 place centre, running 4 rooms across the age range of 0-6.

We have a very supportive Parent Board, and due to being a not-for-profit organisation we are not restircited by tight budgets. We aim to provide the children, families and staff with the necessary resources that are needed to provide High Quality Care in a happy workplace.

We are seeking a motivated person who is qualified, experienced, loves children, and who wants to build a successful career in the childcare industry.
The right applicant will be willing to come and share their knowledge with our less experienced but very enthusiastic unqualified staff so that they too can gain qualifications and experience and have long-term prospects in the Childcare industry in Kununurra.

You will be inspired to assist in implementing the new Early Years Learning Framework, and also to learn and educate other staff on the New Quality Standards and Regulations.
The right applicant will also be able to confidently run a busy room and lead, motivate and supervise a team of staff of different ages and levels of experience.

Each of our rooms has 3-4 staff, and we also have permanent 'Butterfly' (floating) staff to cover breaks, non-contact time & leave.

We offer lots of support to our staff, and encourage them to grow and develop within the centre with our assistance.

For the right people, we are offering an attractive salary package of up to $85,000 which incorporates the following –

•a generous Remote Area allowance that can be used to subsidise housing and other costs associated with remote living
•6 weeks annual leave per year.
•The package can be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience.
•Incentives / bonuses based on length of service and performance may also be negotiated.

Selection Criteria
•Diploma in Child Care (Community Services or Children Services) or equivalent
•Current First Aid & Working with Children Check
•Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
•An awareness of the New Quality Standards & Regulations
•Knowledge of the Child Care Licensing Regulations and NCAC Accreditation process
•Good planning, organisation and team skills
•Skilled in communicating and building strong relationships with children, parents and the community
•Willingness and ability to train and supervise staff

Looking for this position to start in March 2012 to ensure smooth handover.

We are looking for a dedicated Qualified Educator who has some understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (training preferred but available to the right applicant).

This is a full time position currently based in our Toddler room with additional duties including Occupational Health and Safety Officer and stepping into the role of the Coordinator when she is absent.
