On Wednesday the 13th September CAWA hosted a Glue, Paint & Stuff workshop facilitated by Jenni from Meerilinga.

This was a great hands on workshop, that saw all participants put into seperate groups to work with, all that attended participated really well and it was great to see such creativity, even from those that said they had none. "Everyone has a creative side"

This workshop was not what the participants expected, it ended up being so much more than what they thought.

'Each group was given a paper bag with little bits of scrap and materials and asked to make a creature and dwelling, see below for some of the results'

Each group had a snail put on there table, and were asked to write down words that they felt related to the snail and what it was doing, they were encouraged to touch, observe and write.

After this little exercise a piece of calico was put on the tables and they were encoraged to pick from materials, such as paint, natural pieces such as bark, what ever was available to them and to make something from the materials.

Below is the great creative artwork that they produced, all groups incorporated snails and the natural environment into their pieces with out being told, this was a way of showing the participants that by just introducing something into the environment, look what you can do with your imagination.
